Growing up in a Portuguese family, food was always a big deal. There was no way you could ever go hungry, especially when you had a grandmother asking if you wanted more all the time. Speaking of grandmother, in Portuguese we say Vovo (pronounced v-awe v-awe), and that is where the name of this website came from.
