Ingredients

1/2CupShortening
1CupLight Brown Sugar
1/2CupSugar
2Eggs
1TeaspoonVanilla Extract
1/2TeaspoonBaking Soda
2 1/2CupsFlour
1 3/4CupsMini Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Beat butter and shortening until blended
  3. Add brown sugar and sugar and beat well
  4. Beat in eggs, vanilla and baking soda
  5. Beat in flour
  6. Set aside 1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips and stir in remaining
  7. Press into ungreased 15-1/2 x 10-1/2 x 1 jelly roll pan
  8. Bake 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown
  9. Remove from oven and immediately place reserved mini chocolate chips on top and press down
